Story behind username vemacitrind?!

It all started back in 2020.

It all started back in 2020.

At that time, my Instagram username was @jvedant7. I liked it, and naturally, I wanted to use the same username across all other platforms. But there was a problem — it was already taken almost everywhere.

So began the hunt for a new username. I didn’t want something random or trendy. I wanted a name that actually meant something. To make things clearer, I set a few strict rules for myself:

  • It had to be meaningful
  • No digits or special characters (I absolutely hate them)
  • It had to be available on all major platforms
  • And most importantly, it should contain all the letters of my name

With these criteria in mind, I went deep into the internet—searching, experimenting, rearranging letters, and exploring meaningful names. After a lot of digging, I finally stumbled upon something interesting.

That’s when I found VEMACITRIN.

Vemacitrin — Wikipedia

Vemacitrin (Sanskrit), also known as Vepacitti (Pāli), is the name of a leader of the Asuras who figures prominently in many Buddhist sūtras.

Vemacitrin is the most prominent of the leaders of the Asuras in their fight with the devas of Trāyastriṃśa where they had formerly lived. After one battle he was made prisoner and bound before the throne of Śakra, ruler of Trāyastriṃśa, whom he treated with bitter verbal abuse. Śakra bore his insults patiently, and argued that such patience was a sign of strength, not of weakness.

The name felt unique, ancient, and strong—and the best part? It contained every letter of my name.

That moment, everything clicked. The username was meaningful, clean, available across platforms, and deeply connected to my identity. And that’s how vemacitrind was born. Sometimes, a username isn’t just a name—it’s a story.
